Rev. David Rivera Jr - Treasurer/Board Member

Pastor David Rivera Jr has been in ministry since 2008. He was ordained as a Reverend in 2011 and served as the Director of Ministers for two years. He was then recognized as an Evangelist by Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal, M.I. Pastor David also served as an instructor for Mizpa Christian University between 2010 – 2013. In 2013, Pastor David partnered with Urban Strategies and served as the Program Director for Proyecto Refugio where he and his team reunified 42 unaccompanied children from Central America with a family member in the United States. 

Presently, Pastor David is the Founder and Executive Director of Loving Children (a home licensed by the Department of Children & Families for male teens who are diagnosed with mental health disabilities, victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment). Since 2015, Pastor David and his wife have empowered and assisted, both spiritually and physically, over 350 young men. In 2016 Pastor David was elected as the Chairman for the Provider Task Force serving children in foster care for Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco Counties. In June 2018 Pastor David and his wife were installed as the lead Pastors for Restore Family Church in Tampa, FL.

Pastor David is a native of Jersey City, NJ and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, is currently studying and working towards his Master’s degree in Theology, and is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Pastor David enjoys music, sports, and is known for his dynamic preaching style and relevant application of Scripture to everyday life. He and his wife Jessica have been married since 1995. They are the proud parents of three children and in August of 2018 became grandparents.
