Our Story
Mission Talk was founded in 2017 to equip Latino church leaders to put faith into action for justice and community transformation.
What began as a training for 100 young leaders has grown into a statewide movement of hundreds of bishops, denominational leaders, pastors, church leaders, and community members committed to addressing some of the most pressing issues impacting Latino communities—including immigration, housing, criminal justice, and economic opportunity.
During the pandemic, Mission Talk moved online, training hundreds of leaders. In recent years, the work has expanded to prophetic advocacy at the Florida State Capitol, pilgrimages to Alabama that deepen resolve through the lessons of Black history, and the launch of the Justice Leadership Development for Community Transformation program — a multi-phase pathway that grounds leaders in faith, equips them with organizing skills, and mobilizes churches to drive change in their communities..
